HADS  adopted Marianne from the Good Spirit Haunted Dolls Adoption Agency (GSHDAA) on June 23, 2018.  We will be documenting our journey together in the hopes of dispelling the myths that all spirits are bad and that dolls are vessels for evil beings.

Marianne's story:  An antique shop owner gave Marianne to the Good Spirits Adoption Agency (GSHDAA) after finding her in an old chest he acquired from an estate sale. He knew nothing about the doll or which estate sale it came from.  One night,  the owner heard noises in the store room. Thinking it was mice, he went to investigate the rowdy rodents.  When he entered the store room, the sound appeared to be coming from the chest. He lifted the lid and saw the doll but no mice.  The doll wanted out of the chest.  He wanted her out of the store.

Super creeped out, he immediately put the doll up for sale.   Guess what? No-one else wanted her either.  He took the sale sign down and decided to keep her as an unofficial store guardian. Lord knows, he didn't her feelings hurt. After a few weeks, Marianne's aura began to change. He no longer thought she was the bringer of stranger things and malevolent matters but rather   that she brought good energy and spirits to the store.

Eventually, he donated her to GSHDAA.  They performed a doll reading on her, and discovered that her name was Marianne and she died at age 19 - from a burst appendix. Ouch!

During Marianne's  time at the agency, most of her activity occurred at 3 am. They learned that she loves to travel, and noted to be very helpful during spirit contact sessions with clients.
